Mariacka 11

Na podwórko prowadzą trzy wejścia. Każde z nich zostało oznaczone ścieżką w innym kolorze. Motywem przewodnim są trójkąty, które zostały zauważone na podwórku. Podwórko jest przejściowe, mieszkańcom służyło tylko do wynoszenia śmieci. Brakowało przestrzeni gdzie można byłoby spędzać czas. Teraz na podwórku jest przestrzeń do zabawy i spędzania czasu. Odnowiono trzepak, położono trawę, namalowano grę w klasy i postawiono siedziska. Dzięki wykorzystaniu mocnych kolorów: żółtego, pomarańczowego i niebieskiego, przestrzeń jest jaśniejsza i dużo bardziej przyjazna.

Mariacka Street 11

Three entrances lead to the yard. Each of them was indicated by a path of a different colour. Triangles that were noticed in the yard are the main theme.  Previously, the yard was used only to walk through and take the rubbish out. There was no space to actually spend time there.  Now it is a playing and resting space. The carpet beating rack was renovated, grass was laid, a hopscotch playground was painted and some seats were placed in the yard. Using fresh and strong colours, such as yellow, orange and blue, made the space brighter and much friendlier.

Podwórko nie jest zamykane. W nocy odwiedzane jest przez nieproszonych gości, którzy przeszkadzają mieszkańcom. Odstraszyć ma ich czarny nieprzyjazny korytarz. Czerń przykryła brzydkie i wulgarne napisy. Bliżej podwórka na ścinie pojawiają się kolorowe cegły. Na podwórku, które ma być tylko dla mieszkańców, na fasadzie ceglanego budynku jest eksplozja kolorów. Inspiracją były cegły i kolory, które już aktualnie znajdowały się na podwórku: biel, żółty, niebieski i zielony. Dzięki uprzejmości mieszkańców kolor pojawia się nawet pod dachem. Na fasadzie budynku zamontowano budki dla ptaków, ponieważ parę z nich już mieszka na podwórku.

The yard is not closed. At night it is often visited by uninvited guests, who disturb the residents. A corridor painted black should scare these intruders off. Black paint also covered the vulgar and ugly graffiti. Closer to the yard, colourful bricks start appearing. In the yard, which now shall be reserved for the residents only, there is a brick building whose façade is covered with an explosion of colours. The bricks already existent in the yard inspired the choice of colours: white, yellow, blue and green. Thanks to the residents coloured bricks appear even under the roof. Some bird houses were installed on the façade because a couple of birds already live in the yard.

Główną ideą jest opowiedzenie historii tego podwórka i tworzenie nowych. Pomysł opiera się na lustrach odbijających poszczególne fragmenty przestrzeni. Na lustrach namalowane są postacie, które, jeśli ustawimy się w określonym punkcie, pojawiają się w przestrzeni: bawiące się dzieci, mama zrzucająca z okna synkowi śniadania, ktoś czyszczący dywan. Zmieniając pozycję każdy może zobaczyć postać w innym kontekście. Konstrukcje mocujące lustra pełnią również funkcję siedzisk czy donic na kwiaty.

Mariacka Street 3
The main idea is to tell the stories of this yard and to create new ones. This idea is based on mirrors that reflect the individual fragments of the space. Different figures are painted on the mirrors, appearing when we stand in the correct spot: children playing, a mother throwing her son sandwiches from the window, a person cleaning a carpet. Changing our position allows us to see these figures in a new situation. The structures fastening the mirrors have other functions too: they can be used as plant pots or seats.
